Our Lab
Under the leadership of Chad Bouton, the Neural Bypass Lab explores ways to restore movement and sensory feedback in study participants with paralysis. Professor Bouton and his team develop technologies that decode neural signals from the brain that are linked to muscle stimulation in real-time to allow functional movement of the arm and hand. These technologies have numerous applications for spinal cord injuries, stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological conditions.
